PLAYER TURN 1
Trying his best to suppress a snarl of surprise and pain, Khanmahtt tries to move at right angles to the snaca's trail. Khan moves through the Shadow and Fire. Suddenly he is out of the darkness [on his last movement point] and he spies numerous snacas moving among the mushrooms, half-obscured by the growth, but perhaps a dozen, maybe more. They are approaching the en-Shadowed party...Khanmahtt calls into the darkness in a load stage whisper, "Inyaytoh, tell the others, there are at least a dozen snakes coming to the dark and they are very close. Unless ahr frrends can can see and fight in that dark they should leave now!"
Enyeto hears Khan's plea. "Shadout, move to me quickly." Enyeto starts moving toward Khan's voice.
Shadout hearing the call to bug out. Moves in the direction of Enyeto's voice.
Tembo moves through the darkness in the opposite direction of the sound of the snacas so he can come out on the far side.
[Mundy's and the dwarves' actions are unknown to you at this time.]

I thought I posted this, but maybe I forgot to actually hit "Post Reply!"
Tembo wants to move through the darkness in the opposite direction of the sound of the snacas so he can come out on the far side.

SNACA TURN 2
[This is relative to what Khanmahtt can see, which is very little...]
There are more than a dozen snacas pushing through the mushroom stalks. When they come to the darkness, they stop in preparation for their next action [i.e. turn 3]. There are several mages among the warriors than Khan glimpses.
Two snacas burst from the foilage near Khan - one is a warrior with a curved sword, another is a mage. They stop short of the tigran [having exhausted their movement] and prepare to face him; the mage calls out in his hissing language to his comrades.
[OK - Player Turn 2 actions! Khan is the only one out of the darkness now, but the rest are close - Enyeto and Shadout moving toward Khan's positon, Tembo moving at right angles to it, away from the advancing snacas...]

More snakes approach ahr exit. Ah Wizahrd snake too! I will do what I can..." Khanmahtt launches himself towards the pair, targeting the snaca mage. "Stop yourr slimy tongue!" (don't know if this was a charge attack, so rolled damage normally, skill applied to hit) 3d6-1;1d6+2 -> [1,1,3,-1] = (4) Hot damn an unadjusted 5! 3d6-1;1d6+2 -> [2,2] = (4) invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3658165/

Reynaldo and Rrowullh lie close to the ground, and the approaching man and elf, though looking around, do not see them. The man says, "No sign of those fairies. Guess their magic isn't that great after all. I doubt they'd let us do this if they could stop it."... ... The pair move off, returning the way they came, still looking about them. (Bret, Don't know how you want to handle the encounters with the party being split like this, but here goes...) Rrowullh signals Reynaldo that they should withdraw. After they have put some distance between them and the other party's fires. "It seems our rivals seek the same item, but have not yet found the entrance. We should fetch the others and then return. Purrhaps our Dwarf friends can find it before them still?" As the pair begin the trip back to their friends, Rrowullh sighs aloud, stumbling over the pronunciation, "Ah Glix-zehttrah-fentahss-stromiss, have your people no power to stop that destruction?"

For the immediate time being, we are going to focus on Khan and friends' predicament. Reynaldo and Rrowullh will be in the thick of things very soon...

Tembo will keep going as he figures he must be near the edge by now and he could move much faster out of the darkness.

The snaca mage goes down, dead or unconcious, from Khan's attack.

[Mike - if you have your guys continue theri path, they will emerge from the Darkness near Khan. Shadout will not be able to act (you cannot move and cast spells) but Enyeto would be able to toss his hatchet at the last remaining snaca - or not! Just trying to save an extra post if this is your intended move.]

PLAYER TURN 2
"Inyaytoh my frrend, come quickly! More snakes approach ahr exit. Ah Wizahrd snake too! I will do what I can..." Khanmahtt launches himself towards the pair, targeting the snaca mage. "Stop yourr slimy tongue!" Feeling his spear bite into the snaca's scales, Khan throws his full momentum into the thrust. The snaca mage goes down, dead or unconcious, from Khan's attack.
Enyeto steps from the darkness and sees in time to see Khan attack the snaca. In one fluid motion he pulls a hatchet from his belt and throws it at the standing snaca. The hatchet flies swift and true (3-1(scales)=2hits).
Shadout stumbles from the darkness. He looks around trying to get his bearings, and sees Khan and Enyeto facing the snaca with the curved sword.
Tembo will keep going as he figures he must be near the edge by now and he could move much faster out of the darkness. Within moments, he bumps into a mushroom, but in going around it emerges from the dark. He hears the fighting between Khan and Enyeto and the snacas behind and to his left.

SNACA TURN 3 [Chaos reigns here, so this will again not be as precise as previous combats.] The Shadow spells are dismissed, and you can see the area you had lain in ambush dotted with Fires and swarming with snacas. You hear shouting, hissing, and the clash of steel. You can see more Fire spells cast about, and perhaps others. Even though you cannot make them all out, you are sure there are close to two dozen snacas about... The snaca with the curved sword moves to Enyeto and swings - but it misses wildly! invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3663782/Three more snacas burst upon your immediate position! One is a spellcaster, who stops in preparation for casting. One of the other two is an archer; he also stops and raises his bow. The third has a spear and small shield; he bears down on Khan and - the spear barely passes over his head! invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3663784/[Chris - Khan may Counterattack, and it would be against a charging opponet, so an extra d6 of damage. keep in mind he won't be able to act next turn. Everyone, give your turn 3 actions (or Counterattack for Khan if he wants). Marc, Tembo can see movement behind him now that the Shadow is gone, but you cannot tell who or what it is, except for the Fires still springing up.]
