[Apologies for the delay. I have swung by a few times, but the seasonal work has kept my mind elsewhere!]
His barking laughter is mocking. "My friend tells me this girl has problems with the Slavers.
"You have a problem with the Slavers.
"One of my friend's friends saw her head into a certain tobacco shoppe.
"Easy math.
"So let me make this simple, for your benefit.
"I hope you are working for her. Because if so, we will be meeting later, in darkened alley somewhere. And when your body is found later, people will know it was me that finished you."
He holds his sneer for a few more moments, daring you to strike.

[OOC: Nuts... I've been checking this every day and I forgot to look for "page 2", doh!] Aurelio looks him straight in the eyes. "Why don't you go check out the tobacco shop. You're certainly blowing smoke. I'm not wasting any more time with you. I've got better places to be and better people to talk with." I brush past him... still anticipating that attack. invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3989134/3d6 → [6,4,3] = (13) 3d6 → [5,6,3] = (14) ... hope I didn't need them. :/

He snickers as you pass him, but makes no move. You push on and when you reach the temple of Solarrmys, you turn left into some ramshackle blocks near the northern waterfront (which consisits mostly of mudflats). You pass the typically gathering throngs of seedy characters, and in a few minutes turn left again into the Maul. Many people have come to hawk wares, as well as buy and sell and steal. Flickering torches and pale-lit lanterns throw uncertain illumination on the crowd. You are a veteran of the streets, though, and confidently step into the swirl of beings.
You see Honest Alzander in his typical location, his cart piled with maps. He sees you and his face lights up in a gap-toothed grin.
"Master Zenn! My favorite customer! Again you honor me with your commerce...correct?"
You ask about Quandretha.
"Eh? I may have heard of her..." One silver piece later: "Ah, yes, it comes back to me now. She is a half-elf from one of the southern lands. Very powerful in the Slavers' Guild. She travels here once a year or so. It is said..." he leans conspiratorially closer, "...it is said she deals in infants as a specialty. Beyond that I don't recall any more. I have never seen her."
You ask about maps of the sewers.
"Why, of course, honored Master Zenn! Maps from many eras of Redpoint's history. The ones you might find the most useful are these. I have a current map, used by the municipal sewer cleaners, a steal at 10 silvers. I have a map made by a dwarven treasure seeker, slain by worms in the sewers, but it shows hidden passages. I cannot say if it is accurate, but it does have a smear of his blood in the corner here - yours for 20 silvers. And this last, made before the Mage Wars, when the rulers of the city were...different. It is outdated, but it shows interesting details that may remain. For 30 silvers, it is yours, my honored customer!"

Aurelio asks to look closer at the last two maps. He is looking for some sort of detail or feature that catches his eye, perhaps something that might give him access to or an escape route out of the slavers guild.

As is his particular wont, Honest Alzander doesn't let you get too close a look at the maps before demanding payment. From the cursory glances, you can tell nothing, given their varience in style and scale.
"Well, given your status as my favorite customer, we'll make it 40 silvers for those two maps rather than 50, eh?"

Grinning, Aurelio says. "How about 35 for those maps. Remember, I've got an expensive tobacco habit to support."

"Hah, hah, my friend, and I have eleven children to support! Nonetheless, 35 silvers it is. maybe if you find some interesting documents, you bring them back to me, eh?"
You quickly look over the maps. The dwarven map is expertly, though hurriedly, drawn and shows a few secret passages, that if accurate, may indeed lead under the Slavers' Guild (the main compound of which is south of The Square).
The second map is much rougher, and somewhat brittle. The sewer layout is not one you are familiar with, so these passages have been filled in/blocked off or might lie deeper than the current system. But...you see aparticular passage under the Guild's compound. You cross reference it with the dwarven map, and sure enough, it is there, too.
You still have quite a bit of time before the rendevous, perhaps two hours. You look around for Sylvia but do not see her.
You do know of a reliable entrance to the sewers, but it is a bit of travel to the passage that caught your eye.
[Decide what you want to do; BUT also make a 3/IQ check.]

[OK, invisible castle went down after that, now it is back up again!]
You manage to locate all that you are seeking but the explosive objects. While you occasionaly find such, none are to be found now.
Everything costs you 25 more silvers.
While wandering among the crowd in the Maul, you spy Bolgg. He is trying to be stealthy, but you manage to spot him nonetheless. He is not looking directly at you, but after a few moments you are sure he is following you through the crowds.

Browse other vendors at various spots in the Maul, while looking for the right location and/or conditions to discretely slip out of the Maul and out of sight from Bolgg. (Stealth ?). Also looking around to see if anyone else is working with him. Do I know anyone here who might be able/willing to run interference for me (to distract Bolgg)? After (if) I get away, do I have time before the meeting at the park of the Gods to study the maps more closely to identify common features between the two ? Maybe get a better "feel" for the layout under/around the Slavers guild ? 3d6 → [1,4,4] = (9) 3d6 → [5,5,6] = (16) invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4027434/

You take several turns through the crowd, eventually losing sight of Bolgg. You duck between two buildings. You are not certain that you lost him, but he does not seem to be following. You noticed no one else that might be working with him.
You travel on a little further to put some distance between you any potential pursuers. Seeing that you have a bit of time still to go, you study the maps more closely in a slant of light from an open window. You can make out some common features, mostly those which became the basis for the current sewer system. You are confident in the existence of the old tunnel leading under their compound, and this is not their main route into the sewers, which you have glimpsed before. You are sure you can find it.
[Tell me if you are looking for something more; otherwise time to head to the Park.]
