This is great, Sarge. I appreciate your enthusiam (and posting of the action) and hope it continues! I really like the story of the Chivalric Killers. I'm sure you're dying to find out what happens after he kicks down the door, you bastard! Yes, another skull for your killer-DM screen.

Sir Templar the Rock strides into the back room of the Tavern, only to be confronted by a pompous wizard surrounded by twelve fierce northern warriors. "These are my thralls, bound to me body and soul. Kill them, my pets!" The warriors rush forward at the command of their sorcerous master! The Chivalric Killers find themselves overwhelmed by a wave of flashing blades. Sir Templar the Rock stands his ground and keeps his feet, but Euripides is wounded and stumbles with pain. Sensing, perhaps hoping, that these men must be illusions, Goth the Bad Fairy and Megan the Fey-Touched turn mental gymanastics in an effort to disbelieve, and therefore dispel, the phantasms. They are rewarded as a few warriors blink out of existance. The ones who charge Goth, however, turn out to be real. She is cut down! She lives, but she is incapacitated and can contribute no further to this fight. Euripides climbs to his feet, stumbling, blood pouring from his mouth like a wounded bull. Megan tries to help him, tries to reach him in time. But it's too late. A thrall's blade pierces the myrmidon's heart. Euripides Eumenides is slain! Surrounded on three sides, Sir Templar turns his back on one opponent, relying on the strength of his heavy armor, while he dispatches his two other antagonists. Megan, also outnumbered, gives up on her sword and begins to use the last of her magical strength to call bolts of lightning from the heavens. With a crash of thunder and the smell of ozone and burnt flesh, two bolts in succession murder Megan's enemies. Sir Templar the Rock, bleeding from several wounds, ignores the pain as he faces down his final foe. The last warrior dies, mewing, on the ground. Sir Templar turns his bloody blade and points to the wizard. But the cowardly sorcerer has no stomach for battle. He surrenders. They take the wizard's powerstone and staff before tying his arms and legs. Sir Templar then retrieves the body of his comrade Euripides. At least he is close to the waterfront; Euripides always wanted a burial at sea. It is with a heavy heart that Sir Templar says fairwell to yet another friend. Next: A new character must join the group!

Man, I really liked Euri, a tailor who didn't play by the rules of others! I am sure his replacement will be cool, though.

Man, I really liked Euri, a tailor who didn't play by the rules of others! I am sure his replacement will be cool, though. I liked him too. His doom was spelled on his first turn charge when he failed to connect. I should have used his karma but since it was the first turn I didn't bother. Then he got knocked down on the return attack, I used his karma, and he got knocked down anyway. Between having to stand and swapping to a short sword, he was in big trouble. Goth got very lucky. The broadsword did exactly 7 damage, enough to knock her unconscious (with TFT rules) but not kill her. That was a really nasty (but interesting) encounter. Very creative! Next up: The Silent Knight!

Satisfied that the slavers did not escape via boat, the Chivalric Killers decide to enlist magical aid in the effort of divining Horatio's whereabouts. Their first stop is the Temple of Solarrmys, where they discover a Knight in full regalia kneeling at the pews in silent prayer. They decide not to disturb the knight and seek out the seer, Sister Sonya. But the seer is missing. Goth the Bad Fairy concentrates on Sister Sonya's trace aura, and tracks it out of the Temple. But before they leave, the spriritual Knight asks to join their party, explaining that he has been praying for a worthy quest to bring him honor and fame. It seems that his prayers have been answered. Hailing from Veraith, he is called The Silent Knight. Most believe this is because he has taken some vow of silence. That is not true, though he is quiet and taciturn. His epithet was earned not for his lack of speach, however, but for his ability to move silently even in full plate and mail armor. That skill was taught him by a Unicorn, who raised him from a child when his father, an evil baron to the South, left him for dead in a Veraith forest so that he would never challenge his father's title. Now he travels as a Knight Errant, accomplishing deeds of derring-do as his equine foster parent so taught him. The Chivalric Killers successfully track Sister Sonya to a shanty town on the mudflats of the northern shore. Inside one of the decripit buildings they find Sonya, disheveled but unharmed, surrounded by five men in black robes. Sir Templar the Rock draws his sword, but sensing that Sonya is uharmed, Megan the Fey-Touched requests that he stay his blade. She convinces the cultists to give up their kidnap victim, and they agree, leaving out a back door. The Chivalric Killers learn that Sonya was attempting to decipher some strange paper with code-key on it. They escort the Seer back to the Temple. Before they arrive, however, they are accosted by two hard men with heavy weapons and thick armor. They are Bravos, former robber-knights turned assassin. "What have we here" ask the Bravoes rhetorically, "it seems our prey have arrived and our coin purses are about to grow heavier." They raise their weapons and attack! The battle stats. Goth the Bad Fairy interrupts their charge by throwing a curse that freezes the battle-axe wielding Bravo in his tracks! Sir Templar the Rock steps in front of Megan to protect his Lady Love. While Sir Templar the Rock and the Bravo face off with sword and shield, Megan the Fey-Touched works her way around to stab the robber-knight in the back! Meanwhile, Goth the Bad Fairy sucks the strength out of the other Bravo, leaving him a lifeless husk and replenishing her own magical energy. The robber-knight proves little challenge for the combined swords of Sir Templar, Megan, and The Silent Knight.
