Julie, thanks for getting the ball rolling. I’m going to send you some info in the next few minutes on how dice rolls will be handled for our game, as well as some notes on the setting. It’s nothing heavy. Look it over, and if you have any questions, fire away.
Also, I’m going to be gradually adding some info here throughout the week. Hopefully, it will make things more interesting than they would be otherwise.
The game will begin...let’s say next Monday. Give Dahlia five experience points, and her starting Karma is zero.

I've read over the setting info and I think I'm set-up on the dice roller. I'm looking forward to the game, and I'll stay tuned for more developments.

A couple of questions Mr. Vlad:
What happens in case the checks are successful, but there's a tie?
If I shoot before the winning three checks and miss, does Benedetto escape or do I have a chance of running him down for a sword fight?

1) They have no effect, and are ignored. We keep going till someone wins three times.
2) Ah, good one. Let's see...Yes, you have a chance to run him down, but you'll have to be much faster than him to get close enough to engage him in a sword fight (than you would to shoot the hand crossbow). Here, you'll have to win four times, whereas Benedetto still only has to win three to escape you. So, shoot and miss and his chances at successfully fleeing are greater---reloading the hand crossbow will take too much time.
Anymore, keep them coming.

You still have the option of a shot from your hand crossbow at DX-4 despite what I just wrote about being out of range.

Okay, I have a question about the present encounter. If I want to use two-weapon fighting, but attempt to disarm him of the flask (before he can use it against me) with one of my attacks instead of injuring him, what would my chances be? Attack/Disarm, the same as a normal attack or worse or ...maybe better

Increase the penalty by -1 DX to whichever hand is attempting the disarm. This is only because in my head it's easier to simply hit someone with a sword/knife than to disarm them with it.
So, if attempting to disarm with the dagger and hit with the sword it's -2DX and -5DX (disarm). The other way it's -3DX (disarm) and -4 DX (to hit).
When rolling on the dice roller, please state in the "Reason for Roll" column which way you're going. It's easy to forget until after the roll.

I'm going to try to disarm with the primary hand (sword) and attack (dagger) with the secondary hand. I'm letting you know now in case I forget to put it on the dice roller. I'll make the rolls and post a turn in the morning.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first chapter! You gave me a lot to think about, and some tough decisions to make.
Question: Does my ST and FT return to their original numbers before the next chapter?

I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Yes, restore your Strength and Fatigue to their original scores. Also, you can use your silver to buy anything on the equipment list.
I know you said you'd wait until the next chapter to use Andreas' potions on Dog, but you can use these between chapters should you so wish.
