Bret, what's your beer of choice?
I have you pegged as a ... Samuel Adams-Dark fan, or maybe a Corona, Guinness?
And before this thread morphs away from football, Go Saints!

Football - beer - tailgating/bbq, I wouldn't mind taking a quick detour down the food aisle. ;-)
I can't believe it's already November. College bowl games (and all that come with them) are right around the corner.

Just out of curiosity, is this thread for NFL only or all football, including NFL, college, high school, pee-wee, USFL, semi-pro, and the CFL? No European "Football" right?

Okay, vlad, what about you? And don't tell me you only drink martinis, shaken not stirred. I don't always drink beer, but when I do, I prefer...to drink about 17 of them to get through the last two minutes of a Falcons' game, when their coach decides, inexplicably, to kick a field goal to TRAIL BY ONE with 2:15-ish left on the clock, rather than go for it on 4th and goal from the 2 to take the lead. (See how I segued right into football). Stay thirsty my friends.

Congrats to your Titans, ednote. Once again, the Saints defense has left me completely underwhelmed.

I'm comfortable talking about the NFL and college football. Any of the other various "footballs," not so much. Back in the day, I played soccer and had great fun. Watching it...eh, usually only during the World Cup.

My wife likes watching football, but sometimes it's more entertaining watching and listening to her than it is watching the game. The first time I took my wife to a hockey game, she thought it would be like football on ice. NCAA Basketball was better when my nephew was playing for Izzo and the Spartans, we tried to watch each and every game. Back in the day, I think I played almost every sport, both official and unofficial (except Jai Alai and Polo (on horseback, we tried playing it riding bicycles as kids)) at some level or another. Unfortunately, injuries, wear-n-tear plus age have taken its toll on my body so you won't be seeing me in the Super Bowl this year, or any other year.

If the Flames had stayed in ATL, hockey would've certainly rivaled football as my favorite sport to watch. I loved watching the Flames as a young lad. Without a local rooting interest, I just can't get into it. Years of baseball, a few years of soccer, and a year running the mile on the high school track team made up my "organized sports" participation.

Sorry I have been away! I missed this! Yes to all of the above, actually. I am a beer snob, but with a broad range of tastes! Currently Dos Equis Ambar is my go-to, but my all time fav is probably Liberty Ale by Anchor Steam Brewing company.

I only follow the NFL, though. But if we have some posts talking about beer, we can surely talk about the World League of American Football, here. We have a hockey thread, which is a page or two back. I am a huge Pens fan. Might be time to un-dormant-ize that thread.
