Brett,
I backed about 20 minutes after the KS started and wound up backer #248.

Hey, Scott,
I must have been less than a minute in front of you. I am number 206.
Do you like all the web-based content as stretch goals?

I got on board within a few minutes and was still backer 77. The campaign is going very well at the moment, and I think the web based stretch goals are just intermediates to keep some interest. The real stretch goals are the microquests, dry-erase tiles and hopefully a GM screen at a later level. The Death Test Microquest has already been unlocked at $55k, with the second one awaiting at $92k.

Hey, Chris,
Yeah the real stretch goals are the Death Tests, and other physical rewards like the megahexes and screen. A good point that the web content is to sustain interest. I was just thinking it would be a bit more useful if it was compiled in a physical product like a magazine. I know most modern gamers have a device near them at the table, but I am still unplugged when I'm rolling the bones.

I'm in at the $60 level. Not sure the point of the extra $50 for "I want it all" when the only addition right now is the two playmats. But I guess they plan a few additional stretch goals (like the GM screen) to be thrown in for backers at that level. Still...it's going to be a good day next year when the package shows up at my door...

Great to see you guys have reached out to SJGames with an offer to include some of your adventures on the KS. I've been doing my best to get support for this on the SJGames forums. Here's hoping it happens!

They have changed the hex size on the Melee/Wizard maps to 1.5"...I must admit I don't see the point of it and the "classic aesthetic" of the game will be a bit different. Any opinions? I don't use 3D minis so maybe the change will suit those who do.

I think it's a great change. To make the game compatible with the standard 28mm D&D, Pathfinder etc miniatures is a smart move. There are so many minis in that scale now along with pawns and cardboard flats it opens up multiple possibilities.

I'm a little surprised at the change to 1.5 inch hexes for the regular edition of the games. I've always used miniatures on my old maps and never had a problem. But as Chris points out, modern minis are 28mm, and most are bigger and much bulkier than my old true 25mm. Still, while that certainly makes sense for the premium maps in the I want It All package, it increases the standard maps by 50% so the game's physical footprint will be substantially larger. Personally, I would have preferred the 1 inch hexes, but I can definitely see the other side.

George has reached out to SJG. We had mused over it the past few months, and he decided to grab the bull by the horns. We'll see where it goes. I'd kinda like to write a new adventure centered around the Thorsz!

Ah, the Thorsz! I've been considering mixing the background of the Thorsz with that of the old Judges Guild "City State of the Invincible Overlord", with the Thorsz, of course, being the Invincible Overlord.
But I'm glad to hear that George has reached out to SJG. There has been chatter on the Kickstarter board about DCG's modules.
I'm in the kickstarter at "I want it all". I'm not super-happy with the move to 1.5" hexes - for several reasons (primarily, that I have a 13"x19" printer, and at 1.5" hexes, I can't even print a Melee map..... but at 1", I get a nice-sized battlefield), but will adapt.
I've brought up running TFT as a one-shot diversion from my Traveller game (Traveller and TFT - my two favorite RPG's), with some enthusiasm. I just need to have a good adventure prepped.

There are so many minis in that scale now along with pawns and cardboard flats it opens up multiple possibilities. I've started dabbling with "adapters" to convert the Pawn bases to TFT 3, 4 and 7-hex formats. Basically, I'll print them on a 3D printer, tack the pawn bases in, and can then use them for TFT. Could also be used with the old D&D and newer Pathfinder plastic minis (well, not the 7-hex; I'll have to find another solution for my dragons)

The Kickstarter is now finished. I posted this at the SJGames forum but will cross post here in case anyone missed it:
"Final total was $314,572 with 3,379 backers and all stretch goals achieved. Well done to the SJGames team who put on a well run and exciting KS campaign that kept us all on our toes till the last few hours and thanks to all the enthusiasts who spread the word and the backers who stumped up the cash. TFT is reborn!"

Yeah, in the last few minutes I went from the $60 level to the $110 level. I wanted the Companion and the Pocket version of Melee/Wizard, and for $15 more you got the hardcover, the folders, and the maps, so I bit the bullet.
