Just a question for anyone. Has anyone played Death Test, Death Test II, or any of the other TFT MicroQuests, using LAW rules? If so, what changes should be done to make them playable?
Should the monster or NPCs stats be changed? What other changes would have to be done?
I haven't tried this yet as all my old gaming stuff is in storage and I haven't had time to dig them out yet.
Thanks Steve aka Pinworthy

Hey, pinworthy, apologies for the late reply.
I have not used LAW to play any of the old Microquests. The biggest difference in the systems would be the use of weapon skills, which are applied either to hit or for damage. So if you wanted to use LAW rules, the characters would have a slight advantage over their TFT counterparts. If you run it, you might give aany warriors below Ardoniraine a skill level or two in the weapons they carry.

Hi Pinworthy,
St & Dx are broadly comparable between LAW and TFT and increases in them reflect in both. IQ increases in TFT, however, only benefit fighters in that they allow combat skills and talents to be learned and this is reflected in LAW. I'd say that any TFT fighters are automatically assumed to have ALL combat talents that their characteristics qualify them to be able to learn and equate this (where necessary) to a weapon skill of an appropriate level (eg Fencing +4 sword, Missile Weapons +3 Bow). Alternatively, each IQ point above 8 corresponds to a number of skill points with a weapon.
