I watched a video about 'guadalcanal' and they mention some interesting discrepancies youtu.be/9mM4P5c_Hbg1. The rules seem to mention a road, depicted as a black line through hex's, but there does not seem to be a road on the map, unless it is the light-colored path through the light-brown area in quadrants III and IV. 2. The rules also mention beach. There only appears to be jungle, mountain, and water. So hex's containing water+jungle count as beach, or what?

The rules also mention beach. There only appears to be jungle, mountain, and water. So hex's containing water+jungle count as beach, or what? Yes, our apologies. The terrain description doesn't quite match the actual terrain on the board. We are making the corrections in the master, but there are still some games in the supply chain. There is a road that goes along the top of Edson's ridge. That road is the pink-looking road that has a dark sides on it. The olive-drab area on top of Edson's Ridge is open terrain. The asterix in the top left-hand corner means that the weapon can hit anywhere on the map. This is further developed in "Operation Battleaxe," which will be released shortly. We'll just remove the "beach" term from the rules. That will make it a little clearer. The video review is actually a very good review of the product and it captures the nature of the game. I've gone ahead and asked the reviewer to do a preview of "Operation Battleaxe." That way, we can correct what he finds before it goes to print. I hope he's willing to help--he seems like a pretty nice guy.
