Hello All, I found Dark City Games a few years back, 2011 or so, when I was stationed in Germany and we were trying to get a tabletop RPG going. We were broke, lower-enlisted types and had no spare cash or anywhere to store miniatures, but we were able to print and mount tons of DCG's incredible paper minis (which I still believe are the best available, even after the kind of resurgence of the hobby post 2015). I have a lot of nostalgia for the blue-backed paper miniatures. There was another set that I believed were made by possibly some of the same folks, but has disappeared from the internet. The only reference image I can find is a thumbnail Pinterest still had. If anyone knows who these actually belonged to, or where I could purchase them, I'd be very grateful. The sets had a lot of unique figures that you cannot find any more (female centaur, halfling slingers, lizardmen & gargoyle heroes, specifically).

Yeah, those are pretty cool, though I can barely make them out. Similar in style to ours, but just can't tell at that size. It's possible that Dario had done them and put them on his own site.
I'll forward this to George as well, and see if it rings any bells.

I'm sorry. We're trying to reorganize the site after the redesign. I don't recognize that set offhand, so I'm not sure what's happened to it.

I'm sorry. We're trying to reorganize the site after the redesign. I don't recognize that set offhand, so I'm not sure what's happened to it. It is entirely possible it is not actually a DCG/Dario set! I thought for a while it was a TFT set, but even after the SJG relaunch I don't see that set anywhere in their merchandise. I was just curious if anyone was familiar with it, I appreciate your time and I'll keep hunting!

I recognize the drawings from an old and essentially defunct TFT website. They're clearly inspired by the old ITL/AM/AW illustrations. Last I checked you can still download them (and many other custom counter sets that are quite good) from the website (though if you have issues I could put them up on dropbox, let me know). Make sure to have your ad block ready for this website though: www.geocities.ws/kingmarco66/newcounters.htmIf you can't find the paper minis at least this counter art should get you started on making your own version (and you can use that thumbnail as a color reference). The same counter art (and also some interior illustrations inspired by the counter art - it's sort of like a game of telephone when you compare to the original TFT illustrations) was used in Heroes and Other Worlds, credited to Mark Hill (presumably the same 'kingmarco'). I've posted on their forums to see if they ever released some paper miniatures and linked to this thread.

We're still updating the website. As soon as we get to that portion, we'll re-list all the stuff that we have for free download!
