Still snarling with frustration, ears flattened against his skull, Khanmahtt leaps over the gurggling orc spearman and charges towards the Archer (Orc E). (Assuming he's within charging range, I've rolled the extra die damage. If he's not, he'll move as close as he can and throw his spear at the Archer. Applying skill to hit. 3d6-1;2d6+2 - [6,1,3,-1] = (9) FINALLY! 3d6-1;2d6+2 - [3,5,2] = (10) or 5 points of damage if he throws the spear) invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3356987/Khanmahtt unleashes a roar of triumph as his spear sinks into the Orc's flesh. "YES!!! Blood is spilled, other than mine. At last, my prey is found." (Dude, That Archer has been doing the most damage to the party so far, so I'll take the kill if you'll let me have it. But at this point I don't care if Khanmahtt had to throw the spear, and he's standing there with an empty paw. It almost makes a better story if he did. Because Khanmahtt fully intends to kill that Orc with his bare hands next turn unless someone beats him to it. And I ain't talking no Grapple either.)

[No, you were within charge distance. Orc E is now Orc Dead, between his spear and Rrowullh's arrow. Khan will have to save his rage. There will be another opportunity...]

"That one he's weak and favoring his wounded side." Reynaldo gives Tembo a leadership boost, instructing him to strike at Orc B's weak side (who I believe is also adjacent since both Orcs B&C attacked Mundy and I was adjacent to C last round). Tembo sees the opening and his mace thuds into the side of the orc, crushing ribs in the process (I think he's down now!) invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3357103/3d6-2;1d6+2 → [5,4,1,-2] = (8) 3d6-2;1d6+2 → [3,2] = (5) Tembo puts skill into axe and get Leadership bonus from Reynaldo.

Hmm, I think I bungled my spatial map again. If need be, take the damage off of Orc C (but that won't take him out yet).

Ok Bret this the the third time I have made this post. First time I lost everything to the cyber-gods. I hit a button while typing and everything was deleted. The second time I realized that shadout was attacking a dead orc. Now I'm not sure which one I'm attacking again. If Orc C is still alive and kicking I would like to whack him again. I've already done the rolls but the links are gone.
Enyeto deflects the Orc's spear with ease. He pushes the spear aside with his left tomahawk and spins striking with his right. Rolled a 9. The move was successful but had little effect on the Orc (2+1=3 hits). Enyeto again yell in Orcish. "Yield or met your gods without your head."

PLAYER TURN 3
Rrowullh's relief at seeing the Orc spearman fall is short lived, as the thunk of the arrow hits,"Mundy!" Mumbling to himself, "That Archer's aim is too true. Let him think on this." Rrowullh notches another arrow and launches it towards the Archer. It hits a glancing blow, to some effect. [2 hits to Orc E.]
Still snarling with frustration, ears flattened against his skull, Khanmahtt leaps over the gurggling orc spearman and charges towards the Archer (Orc E). Khanmahtt unleashes a roar of triumph as his spear sinks into the Orc's flesh. "YES!!! Blood is spilled, other than mine. At last, my prey is found." The orc's eyes go wide as his sundered heart pumps its last.

Mundy backs away and pulls his longbow back out.

ORC TURN 3
The last orc hesitates. Realizing his companions have fallen, bleeding from two wounds, and Enyeto's taunts in orcish all have an effect. He turns and runs back through the waving ferns!

[OK guys, you may fire at and/or pursue the orc, or let him go. If you fire, roll attack and damage. You will get one shot before he is gone. If you pursue, make a 4/DX check.
Besides the weapons and shields, the orcs had three lizards they had killed for food. You may take these - let me know. They had nothing else of value.
If you let the orc go, you may continue on your way - let me know which direction you wish to go - along the trade route to the west, into the center of the hunting cavern, or along the disused trail to the east (I don't recall that it was established where you were heading yet).]

Hmm, I think I bungled my spatial map again. If need be, take the damage off of Orc C (but that won't take him out yet). No problem, Marc! I'll do a better job in the future of laying out the scene. In fact, now that I have figured out how to post pictures in posts, I may do a few combats on actual maps.

Rrowullh takes a shot at the fleeing Orc and misses. 3d6;1d6+1 - [6,5,4] = (15) 3d6;1d6+1 - [3,1] = (4) invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3358932/Seeing his shot go wide, Rrowullh sprints towards Khanmahtt and the corpses of the Orc Archers, “Brother how is your wound? Are you okay? When I saw that spear… Go to Tembo let him heal you.” “I will, but not yet. The Shahdout and Munhdee need his care first.” Khanmahtt answers gruffly. “Loot their corpses. If theyr blades are good, take the swords too. I have other business.” As Khanmahtt heads back towards the others, Rrowullh begins searching the bodies for valuables. (You already said there wasn't much but If the short swords are of decent quality, he’ll follow Khanmahtt’s advice and take those and the scabbards. He’ll also examine the arrows and fletching for any identifying marks or signs.) “These are too long for me. Mundy, do you need to restock your quiver with yardlongs?” (He’ll also rummage around looking for whatever these orcs might have used as a lighting source. Remembering the bioluminescent moss, he’s wondering if the orcs might have figured out a way to turn it into some sort of lantern. And I guess Khanmahtt will want to give the lizards a taste)

Khanmahtt returns to the corpse of the orc that injured him so grievously. Almost ashamed he says, “I have no claim to any spoils from this one, because I gave nothing to the kill, but that spear point has tasted my blood. I would take that.” He then removes the point from the haft and holds it in his paw. After several moments of silence he walks over and retrieves the empty Mashu vial from where he dropped it to the ground. Then he makes his way over to Reynaldo.
“Rraynahldoh, I would speak to you” he shoots an almost guilty glance at the various members of the party, “in private.” As the two of them move away from the group, Khanmahtt begins.
“You have shown me you are a leadurr with skill. So I ask for your advice.” After waiting for Reynaldo’s nod he goes on. “Ahrmando once told me, ‘If you wrrestle Uhrsans, even for fun, you must move fast, and strike hard.’ I have lived that advice for many years now. When I sensed the Orcs’ ambush, my instinct was to attack. Keep them off balance, until you others could join.”
“But I missed. And then this point bit me hard.” He holds up the spear point. “I have never been wounded so badly like this - in a fight. I was scared. And then I missed again. I fearred I would be of no use to anyone today” his voice trails off.
“I first picked up a spear as tool, a prop for leaps, climbing and acrobatic jests. Soon I learned how it fit my attacking style as a weapon. But I also know a spearman must sometime stand his ground and receive the enemy’s charge. I can do that too. Remember the troll-bridge?”
“Since yourr friend Norx has left, we no longer have a Man of The Front; the solid wall that will stand the worst of the enemy’s beating. We are now all fast and light. Of us, Tembo, Mundy, and I are strongest. Tembo is a healer and lightly armored. Munhdee is an archer first. Should I become the Front? I could take one of the Orc’s large shields. That would give more protection, but I may miss the mark more often.”
(Marc, what do you think? Do we have Khanmahtt try and be the team's Tank? It would kind of negate his Stalker skill if he's supposed to just stand there even if he wins the roll. Hmm... what if he carried two spears? Threw one on the Stalker (free turn) or First turn, and then fought hand to hand with the second? Or do we just stay light and fast and hope we don't get whacked too hard, too often?)

As the Orc turns to flee, Enyeto bounds after him like a crazed beast. He quickly overtakes him. Enyeto turns the hatchet around in his hand and strikes at the Orcs head with the blunt side. (attempting to knock him down or out but not kill) Enyeto "I said yeild!!!!!!" The young warrior crashes through the ferns and catches the fleeing orc, and raps him in the back off the head, sending him sprawling to the rough ground. "I said yield!!!!!!" the savage youngster says as he stands over the downed orc. Now dazed, bleeding from three wounds, the orc raises one hand above his head, as if to ward off the killing blow, and says. "Yes!! Gods damnit! I...I yield!" He lowers his arm and looks down, totally defeated. "If you want me as a slave...kill me now. I beg you. An orc that surrenders is a coward, anyway."

The fletchings on the arrows are not quality, nor are there any particular marks on them; you judge them to have been done with what was at hand.] “These are too long for me. Mundy, do you need to restock your quiver with yardlongs?” He nods with some discomfort. "I can definitely use a few more. Seems like we might have more surprises along this path." He then leans a little closer to Rrowullh, and his voice lowers. "Your brother is brave. But he carries some weight on his shoulders that he maybe shouldn't. I hope he doesn't take getting wounded too seriously. It won't be the last time he gets stabbed." [One of Rrowullh's arrows was damaged beyond re-use in this combat - he has 29 left, as noted in the character staus.] (He’ll also rummage around looking for whatever these orcs might have used as a lighting source. Remembering the bioluminescent moss, he’s wondering if the orcs might have figured out a way to turn it into some sort of lantern. And I guess Khanmahtt will want to give the lizards a taste) [You find no torches or lanterns. While dim, there is enough light from the lichens along the wall and underfoot, as well as the wierd light from the thermal vents, to see well enough in the cavern. In addition, you have heard that orcs do not require as much light to see as othe races; maybe they can even see in the dark. Do you want to eat the lizard raw? Built a fire and cook it? Save it for later?]

[2 things to keep in mind, though you have time to wrap up your post-combat actions as you desire:
1. Wounds: Shadout has taken 6 hits, Mundy 5 hits, and Khanmahtt 4 hits.
2. When you are finished with your immediate actions, you can now hear some high-pitched noises from far above in the blue gloom, as if in answer to Shadout's whining stone. You do not see any movement at this point.]
