Yeah, thanks for pointing this out, ewookie. There are a lot of people angry with WOTC, not entirely without reason, but one of the biggest things is when they pulled the pdfs of the older editions and adventures. Great to see they have made them avaiable again. Not sure if everything is back up for sale or not - that site was down every time I tried to visit - hopefully from demand!
I am not a big pdf guy, but this is still good to see. Kudos to WOTC for making these available again.

i was able to check it out last night. it brought back some forgotten memories (really only a couple; i was a bit young for this stuff but a friend with older brothers had inherited some of this stuff). i actually saw this 'breaking news' on slashdot.org. as most commenters there confessed, they have already obtained these pdfs through 'unofficial' channels. i guess if i wanted these things and could not find them through the 'unofficial' channels, i would have been upset too.
of course, upsetting your fan-base is unwise. however, i believe that withdrawing this content from the market was unwise from another perspective. in the area of console emulation and old console games, sometime in the early 2ks, it was ruled that it is completely legal to download and share roms for games 'that could not otherwise be reasonably obtained' as a non-commercial activity. about the same time, the video game world saw a huge wave of re-releases; collections of old games ported to the current gen consoles. somewhere, a dastardly looking fellow smirked and cackled while twirling his long, dark mustache.
in my mind, when TSR withdrew their 'classic' content from the digital realm, they removed (at least one of) the legal legs upon which they could go after people trafficking the 'unofficial' content (since the classic stuff was out of physical print)

It's about time!
I'm waiting for them to put the Holmes D&D back up there. I won't miss it this time!

@lord inar i wouldn't hold your breath. i have a strong feeling that won't happen. however, i just did a quick google of 'holms d&d pdf' and it turned up quite a few possibilities.
