We are proud to have two adventures coming out this holiday season.
Upon the Wind is a hex-crawl style adventure in an unusual environment: floating islands in a strange sky. These "skisles" hold the resources for your return home, and much more than that: a secret of a bygone people, amid dangers sudden and savage!
Ebon Rebirth is initially an ode to sword and sorcey, with several vignettes in the wildlands east of the Dayraise Mountains. But strands weave quickly, and a dark, elder power soon manifests; a great power that was old when time was young, and yearns for rebirth...
We will have more in the coming weeks, but for now, both of these adventures are fantasy, and for four beginning characters.
Our target for release is 10 December!

Morgan, great to hear from you! I hope you are all doing well!
Sorry, but we're not set up for preorders.
Now I say that, but contact George at: admin at darkcitygames dot commie. He might be able to handle this, or maybe not, but I know he'd like to hear from you, anyway!

I remember reading somewhere that one or both of these would be released in pdf format. I can't find the post now. Is this correct? Shipping costs are not a problem for me. I find it MUCH more convenient to have the adventure open in a pdf and the battle map open in a virtual tabletop. I still use pencil and paper for record-keeping. If I had two monitors I would probably ditch pencil and paper altogether.

Hello, all,
We have received some excellent and detailed feeback from playtesting. While everything was positive, it was clear that more work needs to be done.
It would have been nice to have these out for the holidays, but the fact is we really don't sell more of a title if it comes out at that time.
So right now we are editing and rewriting. We want our adventures to be great, so it is a no-brainer to take a little more time.
I do apologize for the delays, it is nobody's fault but mine.
As always, George and I appreciate your interest and business!
More news on these projects in late January.

I hope all is well, but I'm beginning to have similar thoughts, darkpumpkin. Troubled times at DCG?

Hey, guys,
Everything is fine, except for being a year behind!
The fault is 100% with me. And 100% of it is off-field stuff. But that is not an excuse, both of these games should have been out months ago. The reason is my difficulty in devoting the time that they need right now.
The truth is, George and I are still best friends, and DCG is our primary labor of love. DCG is not going anywhere. We even still have delusions of making it a viable business one day.
Since I have been 100% wrong on my previous ETA's I will refrain, but safe to say they will be out before Yuletide 2014.
Thanks for the concern, my friends, we really appreciate it.
Bret

Well, I would hate to be annoying you guys too much, but on the plus side, I guess it's just because I'm a fan! Would be great if there was a new product every month and more activity on the boards, but so it goes...happy that the new products are still in the works.

The truth is, George and I are still best friends, I thought I had a National Enquirer angle working here. Foiled again!

I waited nearly 20 years for a new TFT-compatible release - and damn near cried when I stumbled across COK. What's a few more months? The way real life gets in the way of my painting minatures, I can only imagine how it would affect putting a game together for retail sale. Now, having said that, quit your whining and get back to work, slackards!
