Hey Bret, I hope all is going well with you and yours. I know you don't plan to check the board often, but when you do check it, please know that we are thinking of you. While you're whiling away the hours, perhaps you can come up stats for a new monster or three. I would like to suggest the Prootsnipe and the Waddlenote. Regards, Ed

Hey, friends,
Thanks for your concern! Surgery seems to have gone OK. I had the stitches removed thursday, and the swelling was minimal. They put on a hard cast, and I have to stay off my feet for another two weeks. Then it is rehab time. No idea if I will be able to get back to work then, I guess it depends on how well the ankle works.
I'll be checking in more in the next few weeks.
Thanks again for your concern. I hope you are all doing well!
Bret

Bret, I'm glad to read that you are doing well. I hope you bounce back quickly.
Regards, Ed
P.S. If you do write up stats for the Prootsnipe and Waddlenote, remember that Waddlenotes should only be used by refs who can play a smart<transmission garbled>

Hey, guys,
Going pretty slow! Yesterday was the first of Physical Therapy, which is going to go on for a month or so. Still can't walk, and I still have swelling. Seems like there might be a bit of nerve damage, but I understood that was a possibility going in. Overall, the recovery is going to take much longer than I had anticipated. The doctor told me it wold be 4 months before I recover completely, but for some reason I thoght I wold be mobile after a month.
Well, I am not complaining, though. I will be smart and do what the therapist says, and it will just need to take as much time as it takes.
Thanks for asking! I hope everyone is having a great year so far!
Bret

wheww! i was afraid you got gangrene and had your foot amputated. i'd feel bad about that.
i'm sorry things aren't progressing as quickly as you wanted. if i could wave my magic wand and make everything alright, i would. unfortunately, someone touched it without my permission and it exploded! i'll see what i can muster from my own inner reserves.
may the power of christ be with you!

Best wishes Bret. For what it's worth, I've found that a healthy diet is the number one key to maximising health and recovery. And it's one thing that doctors might mention but merely gloss over.
