On Tigrans, they also get the Stalker Skill for free. A lot of my longer combats see characters get drawn into Grappling situations, so the claws are very handy. I think it is good with the two?
On goblins and orcs, you are right, and this was intentional. I don't think every race has to b balanced, and since these are usually opponents to PC's, this helps with character survival. As a choice for PC's it gives them more of an uphill climb, true. I had one player take an orc for a PC with points similar to what you have raised, and I gave him extra weapon skills. Still, maybe the orc should be raised to 32 points for a PC (only)? And something extra for the goblin PC?
You know as well as anyone how we change stuff over the years!

I don't understand your objection to Tigran Claws. If I buy a dagger, I am effectively equivalent to a dagger, except in those corner cases where I could be disarmed or don't have a weapon handy. maybe always being armed is a factor to some people, but it's a little weak to me. As you point out, they would come in handy if ever disarmed. I was coming to say that those claws would come in real handy in grappling. Then I stumbled upon the second page where MFB points that out as well. I would add to that: If the Tigran invests in Unarmed combat, they might become more useful in HTH but would be extremely powerful when grappling. On the other hand (or claw), I would probably give the claws to Ursans and give Tigrans a choice of Climbing+1 or Acrobatics+1 instead. I'd probably tweak all of the races a little bit, TBH.

Seems like a good compromise tweak.

I created a hobbit with starting stats of 7/10/7 +8 and a starting skill of stealth +1. He was in a group that went through Punisher's Keep. After the adventure his stats were 9/13/11. Skills are Stealth+2, Dagger+1, Traps+1, Pick Locks+1, and thief+1. He did alright and was a challenge to keep alive.

Hey, Jonathan, I like that idea for hobbits. Simple and classic, alluding to the "burglar" stereotype in The Hobbit.
I guess he was a challenge to keep alive because of the ST score?

He hucked a lot of daggers and did a lot of dodging. I was thinking of giving him a karma point cause hobbits always seemed incredibly lucky. I also used the two handed rule from Ebon Rebirth and my lucky sixers.

Fimb the hobbit almost got roasted by Posen. Cost him his Karma point. Needless to say he's putting most of his exp in ST, but so far he's doing good.

For Orcs give them a bonus in HTH combat and Goblins some Stealh perhaps.

Trying out a slightly differently flavored Halfling on my adventure. Absolutely miserable strength, has to rely on Karma to live, but also must resist temptation to spend Karma on their Skills! Halfling 6/9/8 + 8 - Weak: ST can’t go above 10 at creation. +1XP cost to improve.
- Lucky: Get double Karma.
- Stealth + 1
