Does loss of Strength (due to damage) affect a Wizard's Fatigue points? For example, the Wizard's Staff is depleted, the Wizard is casting spells based on his own Fatigue points. The Wizard takes physical damage, is his Fatigue points reduced by the amount of ST damage even though no spells have been cast yet?

Even though I can't find it exactly in the rules, I assume your starting FT equals your starting ST. Therefore any loss of ST reduces your unused FT. Any comment/input?

Your Fatigue starts at 0 and you increase it as you cast spells. Its effect is that it counts towards incapacitation: "When a character accumulates a combination of damage and fatigue equal to his ST or more, he is immediately incapacitated."
"A character recovers one fatigue point after each encounter, and all his fatigue with a full night of sleep." So after every encounter you get to reduce your Fatigue by 1, and after a night of sleep your Fatigue is back to 0.

So is this based on starting ST or current ST?

I think you misunderstand - it's not that when you cast a spell you are "spending" Fatigue from a pool. No. When you cast a spell, you just add to your Fatigue level (which when you are fully rested starts at 0). So you get more Fatigued the more spells you cast successfully (if you fail in casting the spell, you do not suffer the Fatigue cost).
If at any point the Fatigue that you've accumulated PLUS the Damage that you've taken equals your ST, then you are incapacitated.
