Curious what happens to a static spell effect, say Stone Flesh, when the caster dies. Maybe a mage has cast this on their cronies and then the mage is killed. Do the cronies still get the benefit of the armor?
I know the rules say the effect lasts for the duration of the encounter, but does that apply if the caster is dead or unconscious? I'm thinking that it does still stick around, but wanted to see what others think.

I agree, it should last the entire counter, the FT was already spent on it. Otherwise the mage could do nothing else until the spell is ended.

This makes good sense to me. It is not something the mage has to concentrate on once cast, so it's reasonable to assume it would last the rest of the encounter.
