Hello! Been gone a while, but glad to be back and excited to see some great rules updates. I really like the concept of splitting the "Core" and "Setting" rules up, like you have with the "DCG Adventurer Starter" and "Legends Character Catalog". Should help with maintenance a ton! Gives you room to put more setting-specific rules in the Catalogs too, or things like Item/Price lists. I had a question about what might have motivated one though. In the most recent DCG Starter (20240520, darkcitygames.com/downloads/Legends.pdf), we have removed the difference in ranges between Throw and Shoot weapons. Previously you could Throw up to your ST in hexes. Did we feel like Throwing weapons were underpowered there? Or just cutting down on rules in general? Or maybe they were broken in some other way. If it is the latter, I would like to propose that we move the "Economics" section at the very end to live in the respective "Catalogs" instead Glad to be back playing LAW, very excited to see all the new stuff you guys are cooking up.

I'm sticking with 2019 Rules using strength in hexes. Can't see throwing a dagger the length of the map (16 hexes - 80 feet).

My initial assumption is that they were looking to solve the cognitive dissonance of being able to throw a Dagger the same range as a Javelin. Instinctively, you'd want Javelins to have more range, I think. My impulse is to have something like Javelin Range = 2 * ST, and I can see why they'd want to avoid something that can start to become that granular. Overall though I think I prefer the flavor of the older rules, interested in hearing if there was a gameplay reason for the shift.

TFT (The Fantasy Trip) has unlimited range for Thrown Weapons. But it is "-1DX" for every hex thrown across, thereby limiting the range of thrown weapons, if you can't hit an enemy why try.
