Geez Louise! I wish I could roll those 5's and 6's when playing Risk.
Would Tactician Skill help with trying to figure out where the Invisible Pike would move to?
Did I miss something? During the fight with the Revenants, Gar's pistol did 2d6 (as per Vlad's modification) but against Pike only 1d6 per bullet were rolled (as per the original post).

Oh, man, I forgot to make it a 2d6 roll. I can't believe it. vlad, can I go back and add a d6 of damage to that roll?

vlad, can I go back and add a d6 of damage to that roll? You are joking, right? 'Cuz you know the answer is absolutely NOT. Update your character sheet, buddy, so you won't make those mistakes. With that said, I missed it too, but that falls on the player, and the chain of events has already been updated by me, your humble GM. So... no. Would Tactician Skill help with trying to figure out where the Invisible Pike would move to? I am going to say yes to this, only because you two are officially in the soup with this encounter, and I hate to have the heroes die in the prologue. So, and I'm not looking at what your skill is as I type this, but you have your choice--roll a 4/IQ+Good Eye, or a 4/IQ+Tactician to reduce the shot at an invisible target to 4/DX. Miss, and it's still 5/DX. DO NOT POST YET. IT'S PIKE'S TURN. AFTER THE GM POSTS, YOU CAN HAVE YOUR GO. edit: I almost forgot. Darkscar, your three shots, they all missed. Your DX is effectively 12 when using the Gatling pistol, not 14. 14 -2 armor=12 +2 pistol skill=14 -2 for using the unwieldy gatling pistol=12. So, there's that, too.

Miss, and it's still 5/DX. Since my skill level is the same for both, it's effectively the same roll. Unless...I could combine the skills...you know, knowing where to look and then looking in that vicinity. Can I post my next action yet? Also, am I close enough to run to Beck and shake him awake within a turn? (I haven't decided if that's my course of action yet, just want to know if it's an option.)

You can go for 4/IQ+1+Either skill (1) Can I post my next action yet? I've posted, so yes, you can post. Also, am I close enough to run to Beck and shake him awake within a turn? (I haven't decided if that's my course of action yet, just want to know if it's an option.) You can do that in one turn if you forsake all other actions. You won't be able to defend yourself or make an attack on Pike.

Oh, no!
Looks like I botched this one. Apologies, araman. Hopefully, you can pull it out!

Dark, we shall see. The way I see it, I have two viable options...1) try to get you back in the fight or 2) try to blast him and end the fight.
1) Pros - I can wake you and double up our chances in combat against him. Cons - He gets a free action.
2) Pros - I can probably kill him, IF I have better than average luck. Cons - Our fate is in the hands of Lady Luck.
Vlad, do I have to decide my course of action before or after I'd roll to determine if I can see Pike?

Orokos hates me, lol. 6,6,4,1 for my dice roll.
Let's see if I can survive another round.

Okay, just to brace you for what's to come...
Pike has one more spell left before his Fatigue is such that he can't cast anymore. He does have to make his IQ roll for that, so...maybe you have a chance, BUT he is saving his most horrific spell for last.
After the spell (and Jones would see this) Pike will begin to slowly appear as his Invisibility wears off. He'll still be a threat after he reappears, just not as big a threat as he's been.
But yes, it does indeed come down to the luck of the dice.
My post will come tonight, ET.

And Jones has a karma point to burn for a reroll if need be. I really didn't think it would have been prudent to use it with only a 1 in three chance to hit. Hopefully I won't have to use it to try to save our hides, but it's there if we need it, right?

Vlad, are we on to the next round? If so, can Jeremiah act or is he stunned?

It is your turn.
After I post, you can always post unless I specifically say not to.

Vlad, does Jeremiah have a shot at Pike or some part of Pike, such as his head, legs or lower part of his body? If not he will aim at Pike's horse with the hope of either getting the horse to bolt, buck or fall on Pike. Hopefully doing damage to Pike by dragging him, kicking him or falling on him. At the very least he'd hope that Pike would be left unarmed and without whatever it is that Pike is getting from his horse.
What would his roll be to target Pike? Target his horse?
