My name is Nathan Snyder.
I started playing Melee in 1977 when I saw it at my local gaming store. Melee was on the ‘New’ shelf along with Ogre, Chitin and WarpWar. My friend and I purchased all four games that day. We started playing Melee a couple days later and we were hooked. We taught other friends and we played innumerable games. We played death test so many times I had most of the rooms memorized.
My family moved in 1980 and I taught new friends TFT. We role-played using TFT rules, but created our own adventures. This group played for a few years until my family moved again to Juneau, AK. I found a group that play TFT and we played for the next few years. We used TFT as role-playing system. I then moved to Oregon to go to college and I left my gaming stuff at home. I did not play TFT for a couple decades. A few years ago, I was playing Heroscape with my daughters and I found pictures of grishnakh’s Heroscape terrain, which lead me to his TFT site. His pictures of The Sewers of Redpoint amazed me and lead me to Dark City Games. I enjoy playing DCG adventures both solo and with my friends and daughter.

Hey, Nathan!
Thanks for passing on your story - I love to hear it!
David Miller is a great guy. He came with us to GenCon in 2008 and ran a game of Sewers and one of Void Station 57, with his terrain and miniatures. Awesome games.
I really wish he would update his TFT site!
Thanks for the kind words about DCG. I am glad that you enjoy them, and that you share the experience with your daughter!

Hello everyone! My name is David and I'm pretty new to this hobby! I started playing tabletop games (board and RPGs) close to 7 years now. A few months ago, I learned about The Fantasy Trip at my local used book store! As luck would have it, I found bound together Metagaming's TFT Melee, Wizard and In the Labyrinth books (no counters, maps etc.) for 4 dollars! I had no idea at this point the rabbit hole I was traveling down... I love playing the game on my dry erase battle mat with minis and family so much that I decide to see what else is there for this amazing game! Then I see it...THAT crazy TFT Kickstarter...Yeah, I was bummed at the time but I was still thankful that, in any case, I get to play it still! Recently, I backed a project of Steve Jackson's called Hexagram, a magazine dedicated to The Fantasy Trip. Besides the magazine, I plan on adding on the TFT to my existing pledge. I was on the Steve Jackson forums earlier today and one of the members of that community sent me a PM with a link here to Dark City Games...My freaking mind was blown! I cannot tell you guys how happy I am to discover your company and site that are completely dedicated to THIS TYPE of game... I'm stoked to see your generous amount of this Metagaming style adventures published and also free ready to go! Definitely a highlight of the day for me! I'm looking forward to, in the future after this Kickstarter madness is over, supporting your company and getting from you guys whatever I can and hopefully having something to contribute to these forums! I have that "kid in a candy store" type feeling working me over right now, looking at your wonderful site! A quick question for you guys. Are your titles print on demand or do you guys just have a finite stock that you take from? It's not my intention to be intrusive. I only ask because I am not a rich man and I will slowly but surely have to accumulate my future Dark City Games library a few adventures at a time! I'm curious if there is any sense of a hurry in doing so or if all the games currently offered on your site will be available for the foreseeable future. Anyways, thank you guys for your time and I look forward to chatting further with you guys on this forum! Thank you everyone for your time!

Hey, David,
Welcome to our boards! We are glad you found us, and I apologize for the long delays to your posts.
At times, Dark City Games has been George and my burning passion. When he started it up back in '05 or so, and I came on board in '06, we had serious dreams of being wildly successful and quitting our day jobs. We even had a 5 year plan!
Didn't quite work out that way! But we have seen a lot of success. Every now and then we have to step back into reality and go semi-dormant here. Our next such hibernation will be many moons away, though...
There is no need to worry about having to collect our adventures as fast as you can. We print our own at this point, as they are needed. So please, add to your collection at a pace as your desire allows!
We are very glad to have you with us, David! I'll be more attentive to the boards, so please ask any questions or voice any concerns you have.
Thanks, and once again, Welcome!
Bret

Greetings to all. This part of the board has been pretty quiet. I am Michael and I am a long time TFT player. I started around 1979. I honestly don't remember how I found my way to Dark City Games, But I have a great many of teh Fantasy modules andI have converted them to TFT.

I enjoyed the 3rd Adventure in Terrors. Lots of interaction with the locals, the law, and bandits.

George, Where on the Tyrin map is the Empire in Edge of the World? Or is the Empire a separate world? Also, where is the Village of the Dead at?
