Well, everyone around me in real life and cyber-life seems to be pulling for the Broncos. Therefore... GO PANTHERS!

I agree. Broncos had the better defense, especially in terms of recovering fumbles. I don't normally watch NFL, so maybe it's normal for professionals to fumble the ball that much?

And another observation - Who would you rather have as a team leader, someone with the character of Cam Newton or Peyton Manning?

And another observation - Who would you rather have as a team leader, someone with the character of Cam Newton or Peyton Manning? Is that an observation? Sounds more like a question. I'm leaning toward Peyton but I really don't feel qualified to answer. If you asked me before yesterday, "Who is Cam Newton?" my reply would likely have been "uh...Wayne Newton's son?" However, after reading all the press today, I feel like I've learned the following: 1. Cam Newton likes to dance like all the other players. 2. If given a choice, 2 out of 3 people prefer to kick Cam Newton in the nuts instead of patting Peyton on the back. I'm still not certain if Wayne is his daddy or not but I could care less.

Regarding Cam Newton, even my mother-in-law got a sour taste in her mouth watching him when Lady Gaga sang the National Anthem. Cam had (has) a reputation of having tremendous talent, but being a petulant brat.
Regarding Lady Gaga, I'm not even close to a fan of hers, I might even say that she's a bit "off." But in my opinion I think she nailed it.

That Puppy-Monkey-Baby was a bit disturbing.
I like the Ultrasound Doritos commercial. So did my wife, but I think she liked the Heinz Wiener Dog one more.
As a father of daughters, I also appreciated the Hyundai Daughter Date commercial.

I missed the doritos and hyundai commercials. I just watched the doritos ad. That was funny! At one point, I thought the little brat was doing the dab! I'm not a Lady Gaga fan either. When I look at her, I want to gag - hence, my pronunciation of her name is a little "off" Anyways, thanks for your review! I take it you are one of the '2 out of 3'

No, I haven't forgotten the annual review of our pre-season Super Bowl pics. This post is only one month late, but hey, it could've been much later, as my procrastination knows no limits.
Okay, let's start off with me, your humble host, Ramsey Lewis, thank you very much:
For the first time in my life I didn't predict the Saints to go to the Big Dance, and what do you know? I was right about that. Unfortunately, I was wrong about everything else. My choice of the Lions v Colts was...in the words of Bob Uecker, "just a little outside."
The Colts would turn out to be a popular pick, as our next contestant, Mr. Vlad Taltos of House Jhereg, can attest. He picked them to play the ... Eagles?! Really, Vlad. Colts v Eagles? I would laugh but I'd choke on my own ineptitude. Amazingly, though, for the 13th year in a row, Vlad did correctly predict the fortunes of his hometown team. The Falcons, as predicted by Vladimir, went 8-8.
Lastly, we come to a certain Mister Frau Blucher. The Colts were once again selected as the AFC rep. (My, did the Colts let down a lot of folks). The Packers were chosen by MFB to be the Colts' foe in SB 50. Well, it should be said MB came the closest in his predictions, and is declared this year's winner. The Packers were the only SB predicted team to make the playoffs! That's enough to win the prize. Bret, I'll...get back with you on that prize.
Okay, that puts the wraps on another season. See ya again in the Fall. I'm going back to procrastinating--and ducking tornados--and you may resume your normal activities.

I regret to report that my prognostication regarding the Titans was dead on accurate. They were not Super Bowl contenders. They were not playoff contenders. We shall cheer for them anyway and hope for better days. Go Titans! <sniffle> Regards, Ed
